"The song’s haunting melody and Munshaw’s crystalline vocal sound a bit like the introspective work of Wolf Alice". - Beats Per a Minute
"As expected, we continue to eat up any sad indie adjacent tune. And with likenesses pulled from The Japanese House, Samia and early Alvvays; Dizzy is sure to fit right in on your playlists." - Gigwise
“Eerie, sombre, and personal, “Barking Dog,” the latest release by Canadian group Dizzy, is a push forward when tired of beating yourself up.” - Atwood - Track of the Day
"The tender tune explores the bittersweet ephemerality of young relationships, as inspired by a bus breakdown the band had on tour in 2019. It’s an ode to missed connections and wrong timing, the smoldering embers of countless almosts and what-ifs." - Paste
"Dizzy digs deep on new song ‘Birthmark’....Their work has taken on an explicitly emotional hue" - Clash
"“Birthmark” offers more of the saccharine indie pop sunshine Dizzy is known for, replete with soaring melodies, shimmering guitar hooks, and an intoxicating groove." - Under The Radar
"Dizzy” places us in an era of perpetual twilight."
“The perfect introduction to this next chapter of Dizzy…More studied and skillfully unruly than their previous releases, Dizzy is a glimmering marvel... Munshaw's lyrics are masterful"- Exclaim
“A surefire success" - Line of Best Fit
“The Juno award-winning Canadian pop band led by Katie Munshaw write music with a warm intimacy, like a friend divulging secrets on a summer night that you’ll remember for the next decade." - Elle

Canadian band Dizzy was first formed by frontperson Katie Munshaw and drummer Charlie Spencer after the pair met in high school. Deciding to take time off from school to pursue music, the pair was eventually joined by Spencer’s brothers Alex (guitarist) and Max (bassist). They made waves with their debut album Baby Teeth (2018), winning the JUNO Award for the 2019 Alternative Album of the Year. Building upon the success of their debut, Dizzy released their sophomore album The Sun and Her Scorch (2020). The album was once again nominated at the JUNOs for Alternative Album of the Year and charted on Billboard at #3 Alternative album (CDN) and #10 Alternative New Artist Albums (USA). In 2021, the band shared their EP Separate Places which included features from the likes of Luna Li, Kevin Garrett, and Flyte. 2023 will see them release their new record, recorded in Los Angeles and Toronto with pop producer David Pramik.
